Ensemble

The Kreuzberger Kamerata is a collaborative instrumental ensemble. The Kamerata specialises in project work with composers, singers, actors, arrangers, designers and venues to bring to life new works, new orchestrations of existing pieces and inter-disciplinary performances. The musicians of the Kamerata are equally at home as both solists and collaborators - each member brings to the ensemble their own unique musical qualities and experiences, spanning a myriad of styles, cultures and genres.

Rebecca Lang

German-Australian conductor Rebecca Lang is undoubtedly one of the most exciting cross-over artists of her generation. A former piano student of  Mack Jost AM, Caroline Almonte and Dr. Elyane Laussade, she holds a Bachelor of Music Performance (Piano) from the Victorian College of the Arts, a Licentiate in Music (Piano) from the Australian Music Examinations Board, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (Dean’s Honours) from the University of Melbourne and a Masters in Orchestral Conducting from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. Since relocating to Germany in 2006, she has continued to work extensively as Musical Director, Pianist and Vocal Coach.

Elisabet Iserte López

Elisabet Iserte López was born 1992 in Barcelona, where she started playing cello at the age of 8 with the inspiration of her teachers Eulàlia Nosàs and Arnau Tomàs. At 19 she moved to Bremen (Germany) to begin her Bachelor studies of music at the Hochschule für Künste. She recieved impulses from many cellists as Johannes Krebs, Tanja Tetzlaff and David Grigorian, among others.

Carola Schaal

Carola Schaal (born 1982, Tübingen, Germany) studied clarinet in Darmstadt, Düsseldorf and Hamburg. She completed her Master’s Degree with Professor Alexander Bachl at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg in 2009. She also attends master classes and participates in performance workshops. Concert tours take her to China, the USA, Chile and Mexico.

Anja Sommerer

Anja Sommerer is a franco-german violonist with a huge variety in her career. She performs not just in classical music but also plays other genres and styles like Tango, Heavy Metal, Pop, Schlager (Liveconcerts and  TV- & Studioproductions). Anja has a permanent contract at the Opera house in Flensburg and plays as a freelance musician in ensembles including Ensemble Resonanz and at the Opera houses in Kiel, Lübeck, Hamburg, Hannover and Bremen.

Anne-Monika von Twardowski

Born in South Africa in 1982, Anne-Monika von Twardowski had her first piano lesson in Germany at the age of six. She pursued a degree as a pianist in instrumental education and in musical arts as well as a master degree in piano performance at the Musikhochschule Lübeck. Anne-Monika studies in Barcelona as an Erasmus exchange student in 2005/2006 at the Escola Superior de Music Catalunya. Her musical training was supplemented by master classes at the Schleswig- Holstein Music Festival and at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival.

Sarah Wünsche

Sarah’s affinity with classical saxophone playing was initially inspired by teachers such as Christine Rall (Raschèr Saxophone Quartet). Having started a Teaching Degree in Music & German (University of Mainz), Sarah quickly realised her passion for studying saxophone. At the Rheinland-Pfalz Academy of Music she graduated from the classes of Linda Bangs and Wardy Hamburg and continued her artistic education at the Conservatory of Utrecht (The Netherlands), studying with Johan van der Linden. Much in demand as a chamber musician, Sarah is specialised in performing contemporary music.

Brigitte Haas

Brigitte Haas, aufgewachsen am Bodensee, studierte klassisches Schlagzeug in Dinkelsbühl, Weimar und Hannover. Sie lebt heute als freischaffende Musikerin und Komponistin in Berlin.  Ihre künstlerische Arbeit beinhaltet Neue Musik, Comedy, Pop/Latin, Improvisation, Theater und Klassische Musik und ist geprägt von der Lebendigkeit und dem Ausdrucksreichtum, den die Verbindung dieser verschiedenen Bereiche mit sich bringt.

Shin-Ying Lin

Shin-Ying Lin was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. At age 6 received her first piano lesson and two years later, began her flute studies. During the high school years in Taiwan, she won several national prizes and performed the Reinecke Concerto with the Youth Kaohsiungcity orchestra. Since 2002, sheattended the“Staatliche Hochschule für Musik, Freiburg im Breisgau’’, Germany, Diplom„Künstleriche Ausbildung“(artist performance) in flute with Prof. Robert Aitken and Prof. Felix Renggli. Sheplays regularly in the ,,New Music Institute Freiburg“ and several German orchestras.

Berit Schmutzler

Berit Schmutzler, born in 1984 in Dresden, received her artistic education diploma as a flautist at Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber (classical music conservatory, Dresden) and Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt (classical music conservatory, Weimar, class of prof. Wally Hase). During her studies she was an intern at Sächsische Staatkapelle (saxonian state orchestra, Dresden), later she was a member of the orchestra academy at Staatskapelle Weimar.

Noam Carmon

Noam is an israeli Clarinetist, based in Berlin. She obtained her B.Mus. from the Buchmann-Mehta school of music Tel Aviv with Gilad Harel and a Master degree from the Trossingen Musikhochschule with Prof. Chen Halevi. She won the BMSM contemporary Music competition for year 2014 and received scholarships from the America Israel Cultural Foundation.

Nicole Wiebe

Nicole Wiebe, 1991 in Lübbecke geboren, erhielt ihren ersten Cello Unterricht im Alter von sechs Jahren. Wegweisenden Einfluss bekam sie im Unterricht von Klaus Vietor, Cellist der Nordwestdeutschen Philharmonie und von Prof. Mario de Secondi. Schon früh sammelte die Cellistin Erfahrungen in Orchestern wie dem Bundesjugendorchester, der Jungen Deutschen Philharmonie oder dem „Orchestre Français des Jeunes“ und lernte so namhafte Dirigenten wie Sir Simon Rattle, Kurt Masur, Kirill Petrenko oder Jonathan Nott kennen.

Sarah Wewer

Sarah Wewer, 1991 born in Berlin, started her musical education at the age of four years. She began with piano lessons and then in 1996 violin lessons, first with Stefanka Köppen, later with Prof. Tomasz Tomaszewski (University of the Arts Berlin) as well as due to her studies at the University of Arts Bremen (Bachelor of music, performing education-Violin) with Prof. Katrin Scholz. Her participation in many orchestras, also as a soloist, brought her to England, Sweden, Denmark, Hungary, Japan, Italy, Perú and China amongst others. 2010 she realized one year as a volunteer in the social music project “Associacion cultural Arpegio Perú”. With the ERASMUS-program she spent one study year 2014/15 in Bologna at the Conservatorio di Musica “Giovan Battista Martini”. Sarah Wewer plays in several ensembles and orchestras actively, also as a violist.

Iván Orlín Ariza

Iván Orlín Ariza. Geiger in Bogotá, Kolumbien geboren in 1996. Von 2014 bis 2016, Violine student an der Universität der Künste Berlin (UDK) unter der Leitung von Prof. Mo Yi. Von 2012 bis 2014, Iván Orlín hat in die Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid, Spanien studiert, mit Prof. Marco Rizzi. Von 2008 bis 2012, war Prof. Adrián Chamorros Student, wem sieht Iván Orlín als: “einer der interessanterer Talente von seiner Generation”, und immer noch gibt Iván Orlín musikalische Ausrichtung. Er hat gehabt Meister Kurse erhaltet mit Geigenspielern wie Itzhak Perlman, Ivry Gitlis, Eduard Grach, Vadim Gluzman, Bartosz Bryla, und der Klavierspieler Alexander Bonduriansky. Iván Orlín hat auch mit dem Berliner Symphoniker tournées in Japan und Deutschland durchgeführt.

Carlotta Brendel

Die Fagottistin Carlotta Brendel, geboren 1996 in Frankfurt a.M., studiert seit 2016 an der UDK Berlin im Institut für künstlerische Orchesterausbildung bei Prof. Eckart Hübner. Seit 2017 ist sie Stipendiatin der Ad Infinitum Foundation des DAAD, 2018 erhielt sie zudem das Paul-Hindemith Stipendium. Sie ist seit 2017 Mitglied der „Jungen Norddeutschen Philharmonie“ und der „Junge Sinfonie Berlin“ und gastierte mit diesen Orchestern u.a. in der Philharmonie Berlin und der Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. Als Orchestermusikerin und Kammermusikpartnerin ist sie in unterschiedlichsten Projekten gefragt.
